Many people complain of hollowing under the eyes, dark circles and shadows or simply laxity of the lower eyelid. As we age the fat pads around the eye and below the eye shrink and recede causing the under eye area to become hollowed and also darkened. This produces the tear trough that is often referred to.
To correct this, the cheek must first be restored to its correct volume. If this is required then a very soft delicate filler (Volbella) is precisely placed under the lower lid, around the outer orbit and the inner and middle tear trough to correct the volume loss and restore the natural shape. This is a very difficult procedure and safe and satisfactory results are only achieved in the most experienced hands. Correctly performed results will last up to a year.
Please get in touch to arrange a consultation at Aesthetics Glasgow with Dr Connolly, and he will be able to discuss your needs and the best way to achieve these.
